Yesterday couldn’t have been better. It was all about me, me, me. Road in a car with window open (seatbelt on, of course), snuffled dirt trails in Sonoma Valley Regional Park and ate part of a pastrami sandwich.
Who needs cake?
Sniff up Dogster, a fun site for dogs and their people.
This dog’s smile made me hop out of my parked car and ask if I could photograph him. A silver-haired woman paused then posed her companion, this lovely red retriever. Something about this dog radiates health and happiness. What a delight to see that snapping a quick close-up captured the moment.
The old saying goes, “A tired dog is a good dog.” I think we need a new twist on that. How about, “A dog that goes for long walks is a happy dog?”
Moose was happily defending his right to drive when I pulled in. He wasn’t yapping. And unlike some dogs who can’t shut up (I’m not giving names) Moose simply let me know that I had driven up and had the nerve to park next to his car. After he let out, “Woof, woof, woof…” Moose bounced back to the driver’s seat. Moose’s human found him at Noah’s Bark. Find Moose’s friends at http://www.noahspets.org/animals/browse?Species=Dog
